In the Shadow of the Moon - Ron Howard

My wife and I just watched the documentary "In the Shadow of the moon". These are some of the testimonies of the astronauts after their flight to the moon. Isn't our God (Jesus) an amazing God?

"I felt that I was literally standing on a plateau somewhere out there in space. A plateau that science and technology had allowed me to get to. But now what I was seeing and even more important what I was feeling at that moment in time, science and technology had no answers for it. Literally no answers because there I was, and there you are, there you were, the Earth dynamic, overwhelming and I felt that the world is just too much purpose, too much logic, we're just too beautiful to have happened by accident. There has to be somebody bigger than you, and bigger than me, and I mean this in a spiritual sense, not in a religious sense, there has to be a creator of the universe who stands above the religions that we ourselves create to govern our lives."
-Gene Cernan (Apollo 10 & 17)

"A friend of ours got us to go to a Bible study at a tennis club and after that weekend I said to Jesus, I said, "I give you my life and if you're real come into my life." And I believe and he did and I sense I had a sense of peace that was hard to describe. It was so dramatic we started sharing our stories. I say my walk on a moon lasted three days and it was a great adventure but my walk with God lasts forever."
-Charlie Duke (Apollo 16)

"We learnt a lot about the moon, but what we really learnt was about the Earth. The fact that from the distance of the moon you can put your thumb up and you can hide the Earth behind your thumb, everything that you've ever known, your loved ones, your business, the problems of the earth itself, all behind your thumb and how insignificant we, really, all are. But then how fortunate we are to have this body and to be able to enjoy living here amongst the beauty of the Earth itself."
-Jim Lovell (Apollo 8 & 13)

(You got to see "Planet Earth" series from BBC.)

Our earth is indeed an amazing creation a handiwork of our Lord Jesus.

Noah's and Shem's Descendants

Created with the help of ESV Study Bible If there are no gaps between the descendants...

Noah's Descendants

Shem's Descendants

Age Decline Few observations:
  • Noah was alive when Abram was living.
  • A flood survivor Shem was alive when Abraham, Issac, and Jacob were living.
  • When Babel happened Noah, Arpachshad, Shelah, and Eber were still alive. So, overnight they might not have understood each other.
  • Shem settled down in Mesopotamia region where Abram lived.
  • (They might have had tea together and discussed about boat making and the "Big flood"!!!)
Do you have more observations?
